Sherwin-Williams Brings Advanced Repair Systems To Market - 22/06/2015

Paint and coatings leader Sherwin-Williams is bringing to market two breakthrough reinforced composite repair products aimed at the chemical and oil & gas sectors in the UK.


Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings is the sole UK distributor for a range of products from Ceramic Polymer GmbH. The coatings feature integrated micro-ceramic particles for diverse sectors worldwide.


Sherwin-Williams has recently announced it is to make available the Ultra Perform products M-2 and Z-2 F. Both are composite repair grouting products offering chemical resistance and abrasion protection to a wide variety of surfaces in extremely aggressive environments and high temperatures.


M-2 is a special alloy reinforced, temperature and chemical high-resistant product, while Z-2 F is a fibre reinforced product.


Andy Durrington, UK area sales manager for Sherwin-Williams, said: “Both products offer highly advanced solutions for the repair and refurbishment of key assets such as vessels, tanks and valves.


"Ultra Perform M-2 is designed for repairing internal surfaces of tanks, vessels and flanges, while Ultra Perform Z-2 F is designed to handle joint repairs and exterior surfaces.


"These are high performance, niche products which offer exceptionally high levels of abrasion resistance at very high temperature, challenges faced routinely by the modern chemical, petrochemical and oil & gas sectors.


"Sherwin-Williams works with its customers to understand the challenges faced, and brings to market products and technology which can combat them. Modern industry requires advanced protection and these two repair products are designed to be easy to apply allowing customers a quick return to service and reduced costs and downtime for tanks and vessels."
