Supplying commercial flooring at Hilton hotel in London - 13/12/2018

Resin Surfaces Limited (RSL) has supplied commercial flooring to one of the Hilton group's newest London hotels.

The Hilton London Bankside is based on Great Suffolk Street, SE1 and is popular with tourists keen to be close to the Tate Modern, Shakespeare Globe Theatre, London Bridge and other attractions in the capital.

RSL provided 1300sq metres of market-leading Resuthane™ TG69 and 650sq metres of coving to the hotel's kitchen and service areas.

Resuthane™ TG69 is a heavy duty, food-grade flooring system, providing seamless, textured, non-slip and non-taint properties that are ideal for food preparation areas.

Martin Wroe, RSL's European Business Development Manager, commented: "Resuthane is easy to use and extremely hard-wearing which makes it perfect for this job."

RSL has established an excellent reputation for commercial kitchen flooring in recent years, working with specialist installer teams on systems across London, including the Michelin-starred Le Gavroche restaurant, run by Michel Roux Jnr.

As part of the work for the Hilton London Bankside RSL also supplied flooring for the hotel's external entrance lobby, known as a porte-cochere. Already featuring a striking set of wall-coverings, this impressive 137sq metre entrance required a solution that suited the aesthetics of the hotel, but also needed to be hard-wearing, have excellent slip resistance and be able to withstand all weathers.

RSL recommended a bespoke decorative system that showcased their capabilities as problem solvers.

Martin Wroe again: "Commercial kitchens are bread and butter projects for us. Resuthane TG69 is well suited to this type of environment as it ticks all the boxes.

"The porte-cochere was something that needed a bit of extra thought as there were a number of factors to consider. However, we worked closely with all parties involved to provide a solution, which suited the project requirements nicely and demonstrated our unique approach to problem solving. That's just one of the things we are extremely good at."
